Hey loves.
Yes, hunee, yes! These pajamas are a whole mood!
I live for my weekends and I decided to ditch my sweats and t-shirt uniform for this glammed up look. This is a fantastic pattern by indie pattern designer Tennis Wong of Itch to Stitch.
These “Pine Cove” pajamas are a breeze to sew and I love that the pattern has thorough instructions. Deeply appreciated.
I made these in a flannel-backed satin for “Sew Your View” December’s featured pattern. The fabric is warm, but light. Perfect for this midlife woman. For drama, I added feather ostrich boa. I’ve seen plenty of dressy pajamas and this leisure look done in the right satin can be worn for an evening out. A option I could totally get into.
For additional interest I added self-made piping in a baby pink netting from my stash.
Here you can see the side ties.
…and here you can see the pocket detail.
For styling, just some oversized pearls and dressy kitten heels shoes from my fave, The Real Real.
Full disclosure, that boa lasted all of 20 minutes, long enough to take pictures. I ripped it right off as soon as I was done and have been wearing these pj’s since. Great pattern if you’re looking for stylish sleep wear. Enjoy!
